Southlake Real Estate Top Producer Panel
Back on November 20th I participated in the 2008 Southlake Real Estate Top Producer Power Panel Event which featured several of my
esteemed fellow top producing real estate agents from Southlake and the greater Dallas Metroplex. This event also included a question and answer session. During the evening David Fair with Hexter Fair also discussed the economic forecast for our local real estate market.
Serving as a Southlake Real Estate Panelist – What I learned!
I learned from each of my peers and truly valued the experience. It was interesting to see how each of my peers started their careers in the Dallas Metroplex real estate market and the obstacles they overcame. One of the panelist suffered from cancer and was undergoing chemo when he began his career. Demonstrating a common theme of never give up, some of these same agents still knock on any door of opportunity to this very day! It was noted that mindset has a lot to do with the ability to be a top producer in spite of a less than stellar market.
Continuing Education is the Key!
Education and training were key factors for each of these successful agents. Putting in the hours necessary and working smarter, and following
up with past clients were common themes that ran through the morning. If we perform a great job our clients will be our best billboard! Other equally important components to enjoying a successful real estate career discussed included smart branding, constantly reading resource material on local market conditions, and understanding that negative news can shape our perspective. These were some of the tips that were shared.
Humble Beginnings!
Some Dallas Metroplex real estate agents started in very humble beginnings. Hosting open houses for builders to win their confidence, and being bold enough to ask for the business were common traits shared by all. Equally important is who we surround yourself with including coaches and other positive people. These important people challenge agents to do what you say you will do, to have a goal in mind and always work towards it. Never let others tell you that you can’t be successful!
Shared Common Ground
For most home buyers and home sellers, here is a reality check. Every real estate agent starts out at ground zero. As Southlake real estate agents we must realize that the only person stopping our ability to help you (and ourselves) succeed is us. I would like to offer my appreciation to my past clients for having faith in my ability to transform each Southlake real estate transaction into a success story and to the sponsors of this event including First American Home Shield, Hexter Fair, and Calidad Inspections for allowing me to participate in this wonderful event!
